The Walking Theatre Company

Ho ho ho! Christmas may be over, but here at The Walking Theatre Company, we are gearing up for the New Year in style! Lots of outdoor theatre, wonderfully wicked Murder Mystery events, tantalising themed food demos…and a whole lot of fun!

Congratulations goes to…

…our very own Artistic Director, Sadie Dixon-Spain, who has been selected by Creative Scotland to undertake a Leadership Development Course in January! As only one of twelve people selected nationally, we are thrilled Sadie has been recognized for her constant hard work, and we hope she has a fantastic time in Newcastle at the intense training event!

Sharing Shakespeare!

If you have liked us on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter, you’ll know all about our favourite day of the week…#TheatreThursday ! Every week, we chat about a different theatre related topic, and get some fantastic responses from our fans! On the 6th December, we were talking about our favourite William Shakespeare quotes. Here’s what some of our fans had to say;

Heather: “This above all: to thine own self be true.” Hamlet, Act I, Scene III

Tom: “Your tale Father, would cure deafness.” The Tempest, Act I, Scene II

Irene: “If I be waspish best beware my sting.” The Taming of the Shrew, Act II, Scene I

Charles: “We are such stuff, as dreams are made on, and out little life is rounded with sleep.” The Tempest, Act IV, Scene I

Lisa: “Against my will I am sent to bid you come in to dinner.” Much Ado About Nothing, Act II, Scene 3

Thanks to all our fans and followers who get involved with #TheatreThursday! Make sure you ‘like’ us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter to get involved throughout the New Year!

That’s all folks!

Make sure you check out our website and social networks for updates on where we are, what we’re doing, and how you can get involved!

We wish you all a very happy New Year, and look forward to seeing you at our performances in 2013!
