Today at TWTC HQ, Macbeth has come to life, as rehearsals are underway for our performance at Christ Church Graveyard, Lochgilphead, this Saturday evening, 22nd of June.

This weekend, Sadie Dixon-Spain, Paul Kozinski, and Janis Marshall-Reilly from TWTC will be hosting a variety of performance-based workshops for the leaders and youth from the Watch Group, resulting in a performance of “Brambly Hedge goes to Gordon Castle” on Sunday the 16th!

The performance will see the youth and leaders from the group put on a performance for invited guests, along with our professional acting team from TWTC, concluding with one of TWTC’s Flying Kitchen, outdoor foodie events, hosted by chef, Alison Sykora!

Alana from TWTC is heading to the performance on Sunday, so look out for lots of photos from the event!

Inspired by the great Fort of Dunadd, join The Walking Theatre Company and step back in time to the ancient Kingdom of Dalriada. A tale of Clans, Kings and land, with a guest appearance by the celebrated monk, Columba.

There will be four performances throughout the day. Performances start at the foot of the Fort at 11:00hrs, 12:00hrs, 14:00hrs & 15:00hrs. Each performance lasts approximately half an hour, and will be a ‘walking’ piece, so put on those walking shoes & remember dress for the weather!

Our latest workshop saw the pupils of Kilmodan Primary learning interview skills, in preparation for interviewing to local residents of Glendaruel, Mr. John MacNaughton and Mrs. MacKay, to find out more about their lives in the Glen!

The pupils did a fantastic job of interviewing, and came up with some great questions to ask! All interviews were recorded, and we can’t wait to upload them to the Glen of the Red River online portal this Summer!

“Selkirk’s New Nation” tells the inspiring story of the displaced Highlanders who travelled to the ‘New World’ in the 1800′s; the people they met, and the challenges they faced.

Jim ‘lad’ Hawkins is calling for all potential Pirates to come on an intrepid adventure with him across Pirates Island, to help him find the buried treasure and escape from Long John Silver!
