Cookery Demonstrations

Food is prepared and where possible cooked to a watching audience, with tips, history, background and nutritional information. The emphasis being on seasonal food and locally sourced. Alternatively if a themed event your characters for the event will host your experience, leading you on a walk and bringing you to the ‘camp kitchen’

The demonstration can punctuated with evocative food poetry & Prose performed to enhance the ‘food experience’ The material and performance underlines the emotional and sensual relationship that we all have with food. Through the demonstration the audience will see and how our experience with food inspires art. The poetry includes a mixture of local/national & internationally know poets.

Themes include: World War 11. Celtic tales: Food Poetry: Wild Food: Love: Burns: Shakespeare’s Feast: Alice in Wonderland:

Children’s interactive cookery demonstration with themed performance based around Lewis Carolls Alice in Wonderland, a ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party’. The emphasis will be on food, awareness and healthy living drawing on the type of food produced and available locally. A wonderful menu will be created, involving the audience actively to have fun with food and be aware of food as a stimulus for expressive art.
