Arts Feast Cowal: A sample of our community engagement: The day begins with a theatre walk hosted by ‘The Walking Theatre Company’ who will take you on a journey of discovery ‘The Whisky Walk’, an interactive story where you will be able to indulge in a spot of highland smuggling, hiding from the Excisemen and a battle between highland and lowland all set in the 18th Century.

Registration; Glendaruel Caravan Park 10.30am Saturday 21st. Adults £5.00 Children free. This walk is supported by The Heritage Lottery Fund.

The walk will bring you home safely, we hope, to the Glendaruel Caravan Park, where you will have the opportunity to view a collection of pictures depicting the historic Glendaruel House and estate. The award winning caravan park once the site to one of the majestic mansion houses of Argyll is set at the heart of the Glen. Also on show here will be an exhibition of local artists and their work (12pm-4pm). For refreshments you can meander gently through the park up and over the old west road to the historic ‘Saint Sophia’s Chapel’, now a private home that is kindly being opened for this weekend presenting food for your delectation to celebrate “A Century of Dining in Style” (12pm-4pm).

From 6pm festivities will kick off in the Glendaruel village hall with an extravaganza of ‘Midsummer Music’ including a host of guest musicians. A feast of local Argyll produce will be available, tickets £5.00 on the door.
