2007 is the Highland Islands Year of Culture.

To celebrate this huge event The Walking Theatre Company has devised a new repertoire to compliment and explore facets of Scottish heritage and culture and the art that has been inspired by this magical and beautiful region.

Macbeth
A Shakespearian great. No celebration of culture would be complete without the ultimate ‘Scottish Play’; Reduced to a playlet and performed by a cast of three set in the parameters of a walk in any environment. The Campbells Are Commin Hurrah:
A tale of the masacre of the Lamonts and the rise of the mighty Campbell Clan, a story of betrayal, murder and treason.

Highland Tales and Highland Feasts:
Using source material from a wealth of highland tales, The Walking Theatre Company in association with Real Food Consultancy presents exciting food demonstrations and walks woven around a story. Experience heritage, culture through the delights of real food, slow food and wild food.
