To celebrate their new community walk through cleared paths, taking in the Celtic Causeway and significant historical sites and the launch of the Castlemilk Map Packs, the Castlemilk Development Trust commissioned a ‘Walking Theatre Play’ to celebrate the unique history of this only surviving rural village set within the boundary of the City of Glasgow.

‘The Secret Lives of Castlemilk’ spans a 1000 years of history, from the Damonai Celts ‘farmers of the earth’ to the Battle of Langside where the tragic Mary Queen of Scots reputedly watched her troops fail her in her last few days as a free woman. Join the Spirit Of The Walk and experience how ancient landscape embraces modern city life.
