The Alloway Rap – Buy the book!

TWTC’s Artistic Director and In-House Playwright, Sadie Dixon-Spain, was awarded ‘Highly Commended’ in the Tam O’Shanter ReBoot Competition 2014 for ‘The Alloway Rap’ – a play for voices Sadie created, inspired by the great Bard‘s work ‘Tam O’Shanter’.

The play has been performed by the pupils of Kilmodan Primary School, and by Forehill Primary School who performed as part of the 2014 Alloway 1759 Celebrations! With Burns Night this weekend, why not treat yourself to a copy of ‘The Alloway Rap’ book! Available online through the Scottish Laird website:http://scottishlaird.com/?wpsc_product_category=gifts-2

How do you make healthy eating fun? Fly TWTC into your event, of course!

Our Poetry Kitchen flew into Shettleston this weekend, to take part in the Shettleston Community Growing Project’s Family Fun Day!

During a great day full of lots of fun things to do, Sadie & Alison from TWTC could be found cooking up some delightful tasty treats, and sharing some beautiful prose as a side dish!

Thanks to the members at SCGP, the team had some wonderful fresh fruit, veg, and herbs to create with, and thrilled audiences with food demonstrations and tantalising treats to sample!

The Poetry Kitchen was a huge hit, and we’d like to thank all the aspiring Chefs who joined us, and of course, to the Shettleston Community Growing Project themselves for inviting us along!
