Remembering David Parker

Remembering David Parker

It with terrible sadness that, today we all must say goodbye to a dear, dear friend and colleague, actor, David Parker.

David, you have been a wonderful member of our core team and all the years that we have been privileged to work with you have brought so many joy. You made us all laugh, your kindness, team spirit, generosity and love of life will always stay with us. You gave so much and audiences, clients and fellow actors, working with you, will find a David sized hole in much that we do in the months and years to come. Every show was an adventure and your zest and love of a cheeky moment or a saucy joke will never be forgotten. So many of our audiences howled with laughter as your naughty Rene hunted for ‘the chaste Madonna’, or your wicked Hector Plasm spooked the spirits out, or your dodgy, unholy Father Pudgy Malone, put the ‘frighteners’ on everyone not to give the game away, and of course your Merlin, was simply magic.

Your bravery over the last 8 months has been incredible, your humour and compassion shone through, and even in the frustrations and tribulations, you were always our gentleman David. You will be so very much missed, and remembered in the characters that you made your own and for the love of performing that you brought to your work, with all the companies you worked for. RIP dear friend, the theatre world has lost an indomitable spirit this day.
