Amy is an actor and theatre maker from Sheffield but has been based in Glasgow since 2004. She has an MA in Philosophy from the University of Glasgow and an MA in Classical and Contemporary Text from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Amy has worked with a variety of Scottish theatre companies as a performer but also writes and directs her own work. She will tour her solo show,30:60:80, to Scottish venues in early 2016 with the support of Creative Scotland and Platform.
Amy is no stranger to outdoor theatre, and before joining The Walking Theatre Company she had performed in two Edinburgh Fringe shows for the last three years with the Duddingston-based Theatre Alba in the shadow of Arthurs Seat, as well as playing Horatio in Hamlet at Bard in the Botanics. She loves the changeable Scottish weather and dares the midges to do their worst!
