Hazel Ann Crawford has worked as a professional actress for 20 years with experience in theatre, film and Television.
She trained at Manchester Metropolitan University school of Theatre and has had the privilege of training with the polish company Theatr Piesn Kozla (Song of the Goat).
Her work has included the critically acclaimed The Overcoat and the fringe first winning Continous Growth both productions with the Finnish Ryhmäteatteri which toured to Helsinki, London and Shanghai after very successful Edinburgh fringe runs. Hazel CV includes various roles including playing the old women Sofia Fuentes in Widows to outlandish Janice in the Life of Stuff. She was also the Warrior Queen in Shehallion as well as Judith in Howard Barkers Judith. Hazel’s television career began in Highroad and she has appeared in Taggart. Film roles included Beverly in the Glasgow based Thriller Post Mortem as well as working on the horror movie In the Dark directed by the renowned Patrick Tucker.
Hazel has also worked with young people helping them hone their acting skills and creating performances. Most memorable is getting the group Speakeasy from Stagecoach Glasgow to the live finals week of the first CBBC does Glee Club for Comic Relief. She is super excited to bring her skills and experience to The Walking Theatre Company.
