The Poetry Kitchen: Shettleston Community Growing Project

Family fun day August 13 058

The Walking Theatre Company were thrilled to once again be a part of the Shettleston Community Growing Project’s Family Fun Day, which took place on Sunday 11th August 2013!

Sadie Dixon-Spain and Alison Sykora headed to Shettleston to host ‘The Poetry Kitchen‘, one of TWTC’s ‘Flying Kitchen‘ themed food demonstrations.

The Poetry Kitchen delves into a wonderful world of food and poetry, where a cookery demonstration delights and entertains guests, exploring the world of food inspired by great prose, and vice versa!

Our Flying Kitchen’s explore new ways to create with ingredients you can grow yourself and buy from local providers, and on this occasion, included a variety of newly harvested fruit and veg from the site SCGP allotments!
