Pirates, Ahoy! A Family Day Out at Loch Katrine!

“To err is human, to ARR is PIRATE!” 

Join The Walking Theatre Company at Loch Katrine as our salty sea-dogs join the crew of the Steamship Sir Walter Scott on the 21st AND 22nd of JULY 2018, for a weekend of pirate pandemonium!

Bring your best Pirate costume to join our motley band of mariners!

All cruises depart from Trossachs Pier at 10:00 and 11:30 on the Lady of the Lake and 13:00, 14:30 and 16:00 on the Steamship Sir Walter Scott.

Ticket prices ADULT £18, U 16 – £12.50, U 5 – £5, Price includes treasure hunt and ice cream for those that complete all the clues!

The Christmas Tree is now up at Castle Toward for the Castle Toward Christmas Fayre tomorrow – you’re last chance of the year to visit the Mansion House.

The Power Down Play heads to Oban!

This morning, TWTC headed to the Oban Phoenix Cinema to perform our delightfully bonkers Eco Play, ‘The Power Down Play’, for two fantastic Oban Primary Schools!


Green Jim the Eco King had trapped Baron CantBe Bothered in the cinema, and he wasn’t allowed to leave until he learned how to become a Carbon Hero!


Puck the Eco Sprite was on hand to help that Baron change his ways!


What a great day had by all – thank you to Oban Phoenix Cinema – hope to see you all again soon!

A whirlwind Walking Theatre weekend!

What a few days it has been for TWTC! Super Spies in Dunoon, A Wonderland Adventure at Hill of Tarvit Mansion, MacBeth lurking at Dalmuir Park, hidden treasure & Long John Silver at Braemar Castle, and today, a ‘Braw’ time was had at Crathes Castle, Garden & Estate! What a fantastic time our acting teams have had – thanks for all your hard work guys and gals! Did you join us on any of our Walking Theatre adventures this weekend?

Walking All Over The Weekend!

We are sending May off with a bang, and giving June a big HELLO this weekend, with a a diverse variety of TWTC shows, all over Scotland!

From Singing Soldiers, Swashbuckling Pirates, An Eco Queen, and our Gals from the Ministry of Food, it’s all go in Walking Theatre world!

World War II Flying Kitchen

Join our Flying Kitchen and experience the impact of the Wars on the British Kitchen. From trench food and field kitchens, serving up bully beef, fish sausages, and sandbag mess, to the daily food of the British Soldiers, and those at home, once rationing began!

Our two brave soldiers are returning home on leave from the front, and have been asked to recruit more soldiers, using ‘Old Time’ Music Halls recruitment songs. Join Fraser & Neil as they tell their story through song and tales, encouraging YOU to sign up!

Join Jim ‘Lad’ Hawkins on an intrepid adventure across the Pirates Island, help find the buried treasure and escape from Long John Silver in the good ship The Hispaniola, and get everyone home in time for tea!

The Power Down Play

Baron Can’t BeBothered has been trapped in the Gardens at Benmore by Green Jean the Eco Queen! He can’t go home until he learns how to be green and ‘Power Down’. Come along and help the Baron discover his Eco Coe, and become a true Carbon Zero Hero!

Free Event. The Open Day will run from 12:00hrs-17:00hrs, with TWTC’s performance commencing at 14:00hrs.
