Light Up Dumyat
This morning, live from the Ochil Hills in #Stirling, our fantastic team are launching the LIGHT UP DUMYAT project! For over 400 school pupils, the Dumyat hill will be brought to life, with a brand new Walking Theatre production written by Sadie Dixon-Spain, based on the ‘Light Up Dumyat’ books by the late Scottish author Rennie McOwan.
‘Light on Dumyat’ is a collaborative project between Ardroy Outdoor Education Centre, The Walking Theatre Company, Stirling Council and The University of Stirling. The event is fully funded by SP Energy Networks and the right to use Light on Dumyat for dramatic purposes has been granted by kind permission of the Estate of Rennie McOwan.
This will be a fantastic opportunity for children to both experience literature made real, get some healthy exercise and avail of the newly improved path up Dumyat. Literacy and Health & Wellbeing are two of the three core outcomes from the Scottish Government’s Attainment Challenge.
Our utterly brilliant cast taking on this glorious challenge are: Colin Little, Amy Conway, Paul Kozinski, Alfie Wellcoat, and Euan Cuthbertson.
